The first image of Orel Hershiser’s shoulder shimmy is so jarring, it’s like acid kicking in when you didn’t know you took acid. He, Bob Welch, Jerry Reuss, Mariano Duncan, and Pedro Guerrero all had sub-par seasons in 1986. The Dodgers themselves were 73-89, their worst record since 1967. You can’t compare this to the Super Bowl Shuffle. How did this happen? Why does Orel Hershiser make that face at 1:06, 1:12, and 1:24? There was a choreographer. This was rehearsed, shot , and edited.
