George Plimpton is the guy in ” Good Will Hunting” (the psychiatrist) that Matt Damon is court-ordered to see. Matt (Will) recognizes him as gay and calls him out on it. Hilarious scene.
Wrong Plimpton!
It’s MLB 09 the Show for PS2 and MLB 2K8 for Xbox 360.
You died in 2002, Paper Lion. Welcome to 2010. Intellivision MLB was trash. ‘Nuff said.
It’s amazing how much 30 years can be when it comes to gaming evolution.
I saw an ad just like this in an old issue of National Geographic. They really went all out to prove how much better Major League Baseball was than Atari Baseball. Which Atari baseball game was this?
Pole Position sucks.
Shut the fuck up, you’re a lame, stale mouthed noob and you probably still dream about your mommy’s milky tits when you fall asleep at night. You wouldn’t be old enough to know what a good game is and you probably could not pick Robert Plant out of a crowd if he was taking a shit while doing a handstand.
Intellivison and Atari both fucking rule, and they still do today and you know why? Cause my 3 year old cousin can pick a controller up and immediately play Pole Position and have fun.
Amazingly enough, the Intellivision is technically the first ever 16 bit console…only problem is the hardware around the processors back then could not really take advantage of it.
Same here |

This commercial was aired back in 1980 I believe, long before NES existed, or any of the later systems. The only major competitors to Intellivision were Atari and Collecovision, both of which had much lower quality graphics and game play.
now i miss the Xbox 360 version
George Plimpton.. why do I know his name.. sad.
Intellivision owned. Better graphics can make a great game and better game play can too. Both rocks. That was the INTY back then. It kicked atari’s nards.
But sometimes it does. In this case, yes it does.
yep its all about the gameplay
better graphics dont make a better game
I love how the intellevsion game belched words like “YOU’RE OUT!!!”
when was this recorded? (what year)
BTW, That video game looks NOTHING like the real thing. It looks like complete shIt

I wish someone had the one where there are 2 adult Baseball fans watching George comparing Atari Baseball to Intellivision and at they make comments like “Where the Diamond, there are only 4 players” and at the end one of them says “He was Out”
wow, hes the smartest person ive ever seen on the face of the earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Intellivision for the win! Even have the voice synth module and the keyboard addon!
