1998 Michigan vs. Indiana basketball

March30

I’m breaking my own rules for posting only football games just this once. At the very bottom of my bin of football game tapes, I found a VHS copy of the UM vs. Indiana basketball game from Crisler Arena in 1998. It was complete domination over Bobby Knight’s Hoosiers 112-64. And yes, I realize this game as well as every other game from that season was forfeited but I thought some folks might like to see the highlights anyway.

Man, I wish you still had the NCAA Championship in 1998 for hockey. I’d love to see that in its entirety.

No. I used to have the national title win for the hockey team in 1998 but I lost that tape several years ago.

I have only 2 basketball games and obviously a million football games.

I was at this game when I was really young. I remember being so excited afterward that I went outside to shoot around despite the fact there were like 6 inches of snow on the ground.

The Duke game from that year was awesome. It aired the same night as Charles Woodson winning the Heisman.

It was also the third straight win over the Blue devils. Seems forever ago.

The only other Bball game I have is the win over Purdue in the Big Ten tournament championship game from this year. When the Bball progam started it’s nosedive to hell in 1999, I stopped taping anymore of their games for obvious reasons.

    Football remains my true love.

The Duke game from this season (97-98) was also a good one, same score by the way.

It’s weird not seeing the students behind the benches like they are now, that was a definite improvement to the game day atmosphere.
