Not everybody knows that Iverson, actually, was a BETTER football player than he was a basketball player in High School. He was better than Mike Vick AND Aaron Brooks in High School. Had it not been for that bowling alley incident, Iverson may have ended up in the NFL. Maybe even at QB.

It is funny how people make the cop out he is not as fast as Deon. Look at his lateral speed, quickness, vision and bod control. he is just like Eric Berry. Obvious that he was not as scared of contact with what he did in the NBA. Smallest guy out there. He may of been a strong safety b/c he did not like working out. Laughable. Allen is a top 10 athlete all time. May be the most versitale all time. Would of been a phen. return man in the NFL and DB.

iverson comes from the same area that has produced talents like deangelo hall, mike vick, bruce smith, ronald curry, percy harvin and dre bly not to mention basketball studs like alonzo mourning and himself. This area of virginia produces dominant talent every year. He would have easily been in the nfl.

Not JV. Bethel HS plays in an area in Virginia that produces consistent national level football programs. I guess we won’t know if he would have been as great as Sanders, but I assure you he would have easily played at the NFL level.
@NDANG88 its a little different when your trying to get by someone who is trying to tackle you than just trying to take the ball or stop you. trust me im a three sport athlete.
along the lines of Deon Sanders, hahah yea right not even close to the speed of Neon Deon, when Deon Saners looked this fast, it was against other NFL players not a bunch of JV football players— big difference in the level of competition
i really think allen iverson wouldnt had made it to the nfl but i think he would’ve got scouted to play at a collage, dont take me wrong he was greaat during his highschool year

damn.. AI was good and i aree with bigdog0800 in the NFL u have to be REAL good to be a star theres 53 people on every team. but in basketball theres only maybe 15-20 people on a team if ur good ull shine on ur team (although it is harder to make the NBA than to make the NFL, their more spots in the NFL)
i wish coaches nowadays would let u play on offense defense and special teams
