American Samoa – Football Island (Part III)
jodatoa.blogspot.com The following are extra scenes not fully televised in the main documentary. Pre-game warmups like you’ve never seen before, as demonstrated by a high school football team in American Samoa! The governor of American Samoa, Togiola Tulafono, shows Scott Pelley the many mementoes on display from Samoan players who’ve made it to the NFL. NFL superstar Troy Polamalu explains how the Samoan way of life has contributed to his success. Scott Pelley discusses his upcoming “60 Minutes” report on a territory that sends more players to the NFL than any similarly populated place in America.
people should start a foundation for money for samoan football
we deal with what where given with and make the most out of it..NZ?..doesn’t have the most population mate..and btw..who gives at all what/or where you grew up cos at the end of the day it traces back to 685 0r 684…ThumbS up guys!!..Proud2BSamoaN!!>>>:D..CHEERS to the Samoan/americans making it big in the us..
no i think samoa has the biggest samoans are in samoa nz aus cali was orgeon utah texas all kinds
thats cause nz has the biggest polynesian population in the world….so they show respect and go the extra mile to say it right…they stuff up too, but getting better
cheeeehoooo
They could afford new gear for all the high school teams and they can all chip in and fix the playing fields
@mroerled Without the NFL players, there would be NO equipment
Dunno why you have 2 thumbs down, you spoke some truth coz alot of things end up being shut down because of fighting…….sht happens.
True aye. It’s the connection to New Zealand – Rugby, American – Football.
hahahahahaha…. i kept playin’ it ova and ova and i too thot she said SEXUAL… but what she really said was EXCEPTIONAL players!!!
You would think all the Samoans that made it to the NFL would donate time and money to the island and football programs, look at all that messed up football gear the kids are playing with!
its interesting how close the two islands of samoa are, yet their interests are quite different. When I went to Western Samoa, everyone there was playing rugby lol
LMAO hahahah oh shit hhahahaha
pretty sure he knew but the average person doesnt, so i guess he has to make every point clear, smebody could be left in the dark if he didnt stress that point.
when troy said that “we play with respect,” i was surprise cause when tafuna and leone high school played the championship i forgot what year but tafuna won and the lions were pissed and they started a fight in the field while the governor is watching, but not only that game but every single game there’s always a fight after the game and rocks throwing at cars, bus, and each other. Not only the samoans in the island but also the samoans in Long Beach, Compton and everywhere.
i say let em play on the lava rocks …stop em from gettin soft. B-)
hahahahaha
1:07 – 2:00 very beautiful
“How does the dancing help with the football?”
Footspeed dumbshit!
Is this interviewer a fucking retard??
Exceptional or sexual…you are what you say. But I have one question for you bradda…is something wrong with your ears? lol Or maybe your mind? Need coffee, or maybe fruit punch ( makua fa’apasasa) is better. E le valea fo’i leGei faGau. Maybe she meant SEXIEST, a.
i think she meant to say exceptional but said sexual.. I didn’t hear “ex” part.
well what about a co regincy? like andorra?, heck west samoa had two heads of state for the longest time.
Man aint nothin better than to see my Samaon people on the possitive tip!!!And jaedon001 Love your advice!!!!!!!!!!
she said “so many exceptional football players”
@KangaKucha easier said then done lol if Amerika Samoa & Samoa were to Unite trust and believe there would be WAR amongst the islands of SAMOA against each other just like the old days. For 1 the Tui Manu’a Title would come bacc to life and this Title was the highest & ancient title of SAMOA but then you have Tui Atua who is the current ruler of Samoa not Amerika Samoa you see where Im getting too?
