@kubevubin That’s because old NTSC TVs had an overscan. There is a small percentage of space outside of the image that you would normally “see” because it’s not drawn within the frame of the image on a typical CRT television. It appears on captured videos though because the video capturing hardware grabs everything. Also – I suspect that an NES dev would see no reason to waste resources by drawing sprites outside of the overscan.
