Legends of Hockey – Guy Lafleur
Guy Damien Lafleur, OC, CQ, (born September 20, 1951 in Thurso, Quebec), is a former professional ice hockey player and is widely regarded as one of the most naturally gifted and popular players ever to play professional ice hockey. Between 1971 and 1991, he played for the Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers and Quebec Nordiques in an NHL career spanning 17 seasons and five Stanley Cup championships.
merci Guy…
great player and good guy
thanks for the help in victoria airport
He is the best!!!!! But He is not better than richard
Whew! I thought for a minute after 8:11 he was going to mention the Washington Capitals instead of the Rockies or the Scouts!
I love guy Lafleur hes my favorite
@LeCutter Kind of freaky that I picked Corey Perry to rout for when he was #61 and then they changed his number to #10, the same as my hero Lafleur. Good vibes.
That was when he was on The Hour with George Stromboloupous, it was a great interview
Great clip…thanks for posting this.
@LeCutter We all wanted to own a Monte Carlo car because Guy Lafleur advertised them.
Don Cherry was asked who impressed him the most besides Orr and Gretzky and he said Guy Lafleur. Some people try to say Cherry loves goons but that proves he loves hockey most.
2:06 Look at that play. WOW.
And people always say that the players today are 100% more talented than they used to be.
Maybe so in some cases but there was still as much action back then.
Oh he was. That room was full of leaders and champions. But Serge Savard had more the captain profile.
Guy Lafleur was my favorite player too. this guy coming down the wing at full speed, it’s in the net.
lanny macdoanld is not a leafs legends, he made much more of an impact in Calgary
Always my favourite player. I remember watching him as a kid with my dad and his buddies. Number 10 is still my lucky number to this day! Man, I loved watching him play.
maybe he wasn’t a good leader
Come on. Don’t call Guy that.
you stupid faggot
Ummm Darryl sittler, Lanny MacDonald?
Mmm, no kidding. But why didn’t they give him the ‘C’? He’s obviously the face of the franchise and the best player in Habs history (well, except for maybe Beliveau or the Rocket).
lolll there is NONE
GO HABS GO !! Flower Power !!
Hey . Where’s the Maple Leafs Legends of Hockey?
His end-to-end rush in which he scored against Calgary in 1981 or 1982 drove the fans nuts in Calgary! I met the man after he finished an autograph session at the St-Laurent Shopping Centre in Ottawa in either 1999 or 2000 and I was in awe! I thanked him for the great memories he gave me as a pre-teen / teen in the mid to late 1970s!! I was numb for the rest of the day!
Guy-Guy-Guy-Guy! Awesome player, one of the best to ever play the game, and arguably the most loved player of all time. #10 always!
Buzzsaw, well said buddy!
